Summative Evaluation
From EuroVR Knowledge Base
Description
Summative or comparative evaluation (e.g. Hix and Hartson, 1993) typically involves a statistical comparison of two or more interaction techniques/interfaces following implementation or final delivery to assess which performs better. Evaluators collect quantitative (time, error etc.) and qualitative (participant comments, behaviour etc.) data as representative users perform task scenarios.
