Objectives
The scope of the “Pure Form” project is the realization of a VR system where the user can interact, through the senses of touch and sight, with digital models of 3D art works and sculptures
Main Results
- Demonstrators: The realization of a prototype was the aim of this project. A new arm and hand exoskeleton have been designed. The haptic system was integrated with a Projected Wall visualization system and with a Cave system achieving collocation between haptics and visualization. - Patent: “Exoskeleton Interface Apparatus” Patent Number WO2004058458: This patent cover the concept, design and realization of an arm-exoskeleton; “Haptic interface device” This patent will cover the concept, design and realization of a PORTABLE desktop haptic interface for two fingertips
