Objectives

Visualization of critical scenarios during the specification or design phases provides an unique way to reduce development time and costs. Virtual Reality was applied in the modification of existing NPP Control Rooms and in the design of advanced training spaces (e.g. for CR operators training) allowing:

  • Easy Import and optimisation of CAD/CAM/CAE geometries, while maintaining the visual aspect of the original objects.
  • Creation of intelligent objects with animation, interactivity and complex behaviour.
  • Creation of guided tours through 3D scenes.
  • Build up of 3D maintenance and training interactive guides.
  • Objects identification (by text and sound)
  • Visual testing from associated position to objects or mannequins.
  • Use of graphic menus for user interaction.
