Objectives

The main of this project falls under the goal to design a smallest driving simulator, at lower cost, accurately imitating the standard cars and the usual situations of drive. This imitation represents the main objective of our work and approaches the following points:

-The road safety, by implementing intelligent algorithms or introducing new reflexes to alert the drivers of a dangerous situation based on the interaction and the communication between several vehicles.

-Study of comfort and its impact on the way of leading (increase speed according to the factor comfort, GPS, mobile telephony, its and video),

-Assistance with the control and the perception of movement: this simulator will be equipped with various sensory returns facilitating the operation “drive” and making it less tiring,

All these stages will be tested, evaluated and interpreted with the assistance of the psychologists.

Main Results

  • Scientific results:

-PhD thesis H. Mohellebi (Design of driving simulator).

  • Material results:

- Prototype SIM², Driving simulator, which allow the restitution of 2 DOF weak movement
