Objectives

The objective of research was the creation of a distributed real-time visualization and rendering system, which is capable of rendering images in stereo

Main Results

A prototype for distributed real-time rendering and a network based configuration tool were developed. The distributed rendering is done by a E&S cluster consisting of ten rendering clients and one server. Visualization is done with the help of the OpenSG library. This system can be configured to visualize in active stereo on our VR-Cave with 5 display-walls or on our Holobench or Workbench and uses an Ascension Motionstar tracker for head tracking.
