Structure of VR/AR Technology
The research and development topics of VR-Technology are comprised of a core part with multimodal input systems, content technology, multi modal rendering and display; an application specific domain knowledge which adapts the basic technologies to the specific needs. Interaction concepts and evaluation technology are the necessary cross sectional techniques which are needed in all areas and have to be adapted to the specific needs of VE’s. All is obviously based on basic computing infrastructure mostly concerned with real-time performance.
