VR/AR technologies and virtual environments (VEs) have been applied in a variety of domains, and have created new and interesting areas of research.  Early users of the technology can be found in the military and aerospace industries, with marketing, design, education and training being the main application areas. VR can now be found in automotive and transport, medicine and neuroscience, engineering and design, entertainment and culture, construction and energy.  In this section you can find the state of the art in these areas, lessons learned in their application, and the many research issues which have been generated.
