Objectives
To design, develop and evaluate single user and collaborative virtual environments to support Social Skills Training from children and adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD), specifically Asperger’s Syndrome
Main Results
1. Demonstrator CVEs representing 2 social interaction scenarios (meeting someone in a café and going for an interview) 2. Single user VEs representing task objectives for queuing and finding somewhere to sit in two social settings (a café and a bus) – free download from project website 3. Scientific research studies: 3.1 Methods for involving users with ASD in design 3.2 Evaluation of user perceptions of VEs 3.3 Evaluation of how VEs support social skills training 3.4 Evaluation of learning outcomes 3.5 Developing VEs for individualised learning
